AI Meeting Assistant
An AI meeting assistant that joins the call
Send Sidekick Pro to your next Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams call. It sits in the meeting and listens. Ask it something out loud and it answers in the call. Afterwards the meeting is a thread in your chat, so you can ask what was said and hand it the follow-up.

In short
What is an AI meeting assistant?
An AI meeting assistant joins your video calls so you do not have to run the meeting and write it up at the same time. Sidekick Pro's meeting assistant joins Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams as a participant. It listens quietly, speaks when you address it, posts links and lookups in the meeting chat, and keeps the meeting in a chat thread you can question later.
What it does in the meeting
- Joins Zoom, Google Meet and Teams Give it the meeting link and it dials in as a participant with its own name in the list. Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams all work the same way.
- Quiet by default It starts in listening mode. It stays silent while people talk and only speaks when someone clearly addresses it, so it never talks over the room.
- Answers out loud, in the call Ask it a question in the meeting and it answers in a natural voice in real time. You can interrupt it the way you would interrupt a person.
- Posts in the meeting chat When a link, a number or a lookup would help, it types the answer into the meeting chat instead of speaking. Nobody loses the thread of the conversation.
- Reads the meeting chat Type a question to it in the chat and it replies in the chat. Useful when you do not want to say out loud what you are asking.
- Shares its screen It can share an image, a chart, a document or a screenshot to everyone in the call, then stop sharing when it is done.
- Looks things up mid-call It has the rest of your assistant with it: your calendar, your mail, your documents, the web and every connected app. The answer arrives during the meeting, not after it.
- The meeting becomes a thread Everything said runs into a chat thread in your account, and the facts that matter land in memory. Ask about the call tomorrow or next month.
How to send it to a meeting
-
Start on the Business plan
The meeting assistant is part of the Business plan. Sign in with Google so it can also see the calendar the meeting sits on.
-
Give it the meeting link
Paste the Zoom, Meet or Teams link in chat, or name the meeting on your calendar and let it find the link. It joins within a moment.
-
Run your meeting
Leave it listening, or address it out loud when you need something. Tell it to leave and it drops off the call.
-
Pick the thread back up
After the call, the meeting is a conversation in your chat. Ask what was agreed, or hand it the follow-up: the invite, the recap mail, the reminder.
A participant, not a recorder
Most meeting tools are passive. A bot joins, writes down what it heard, and mails you a summary an hour later. That helps the record. It does nothing for the meeting itself, which is where the questions actually come up.
Sidekick Pro joins as a participant. It is the same assistant you use in chat, running on a live voice connection, so it can hear the room and act while the room is still talking. Somebody asks when you are free on the 14th and it checks the calendar and says so. Somebody asks for last quarter's number and it goes and finds it. The lookup lands in the meeting chat while the point is still live.
It defaults to silence on purpose. In listening mode it chooses to stay quiet unless it is addressed, and background work it runs on your behalf happens without it saying a word.
The follow-up happens where the meeting went
The call does not end in a separate notes app. It ends in a chat thread with the rest of your work in it, so the follow-up is one more message in the same conversation: send the recap, book the next one, remind me on Thursday, draft the reply to the client.
What was said is also searchable later. The assistant pulls meeting context the same way it pulls everything else it knows about you, from the web app, the Chrome extension, your phone or your assistant's phone line.
Who sends an assistant to a meeting
-
Back-to-back calendars
When the day is one call after another, let it hold the record. Pair it with Smart Inbox so the mail between calls is handled too.
-
Client-facing teams
Agencies and consultants get every commitment written down in the same place the work happens. Roll it out with Sidekick Pro for teams.
-
Small businesses
Put the AI receptionist on the phone and the meeting assistant in the calls, and the two ways people reach you are both covered.
-
Anyone tired of writing notes
Stay in the conversation. The record, the lookups and the follow-up all happen without you typing during the call.

Frequently asked questions
Which meeting platforms does the AI meeting assistant support?
Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. Give it the meeting link and it works out which platform the link belongs to and joins there.
Does it talk during the meeting?
Only when you want it to. It joins in listening mode and stays silent while people talk. It speaks when someone clearly addresses it or asks it a question, and you can tell it to switch into normal chat mode at any point.
What happens to the meeting after the call?
The meeting lands in a chat thread in your account, and the facts worth keeping go into memory. You can ask about the call later from the web app, the Chrome extension or your phone, and ask the assistant to handle the follow-up in the same thread.
Can it do things for me during the meeting?
Yes. It brings the rest of your assistant into the call: your calendar, your mail, your documents, the web and your connected apps. It can also share an image, a chart or a screenshot to everyone in the call.
Can I send it a question without saying it out loud?
Yes. Type the question in the meeting chat and it answers in the meeting chat, so the rest of the call is not interrupted.
How much does the AI meeting assistant cost?
It is part of the Business plan, with monthly model usage included. There is no separate per-meeting or per-seat notetaker fee on top, because the meeting assistant is the same assistant that handles your mail, your calendar and your browser.
