Muse launched on September 8, 2026. You message it in its own app or inside WhatsApp, and it sends emails, books travel, fills out forms and shops for you. It runs its tasks on a dedicated cloud computer, the Muse Secure VM, with a separate agent that approves anything before it reaches the internet.
It is built for personal life more than work. It is US-only and 18+ at launch, some features are still marked coming soon, and some retailers have already blocked it from shopping on their sites.

Hermes Agent from Nous Research is open source under the MIT license. It runs on your own computer as a terminal or desktop app, keeps its memory across sessions, and writes new skills for itself as it learns. It ships with more than 75 skills and a messaging gateway to Telegram, Discord and Slack.
The trade-off is setup. You host it, you connect a model provider, and you pay that provider for usage. It suits developers far better than people who want an agent that just works.

It launched publicly in June 2026 and is growing fast. It records meetings you start and summarizes them, but its focus stays on email and routines.
